Olive Oil

Plain old olive oil is quite the star for PCa and cardiac issues. Although there are conflicting studies, most show that men who replaced some of their daily calories (5%-10%) with olive oil have a reduced chance of death from PCa (10%-30%). Men without PCa have a similarly reduced chance of getting it.  This is probably in part due to the reduction of bad foods but some benefit is likely due directly to the olive oil.

There is also a noted reduction in heart disease risk. 10% or more.

I try to consume a few tablespoons a day of extra virgin organic olive oil.
