Senolytic is from the words senescence and -lytic, “destroying”. Some NIH research indicates that senolytic substances can kill or weaken dormant PCa cells. Dormancy might be caused by radiation, ADT, or chemo, among others.
Fisetin is one of the most powerful senolytics known. Curcumin, although not as potent, is also a powerful senolytic.
The oral dose of fisetin that has been used in clinical trials is 20mg/kg of bodyweight. So, for a 190lb man the dose should be about 1700mg. An ounce of strawberries contains about 4mg of fisetin and berries (strawberries in particular) have been linked to reduced PCa mortality risk by the NIH.
I had EADT (estrogen based ADT) and am following it with radiation treatments and I am going to follow this with 1700mg of fisetin a day from a supplement and 3-8grams a day of curcumin (with olive oil and piperine to increase absorption and bio-availability). I’m planning on taking fisetin and curcumin for 2 days of the week and curcumin alone for an additonal 2 days with 2 weeks off every few months. I think that this might give my liver and kidneys a break and perhaps reduce the chance of stress-adaption by the cancer cells.

How is it working for you?

Hi Joe, I am writing a book with an updated program. I did not find any successful clinical trials for fisetin nor did I find enough NIH research to justify its use. So I dropped it. However, I did find enough data to justify the continued use of curcumin. By the way, the book is completely free – no ads, no tracking, no clickbait. Just my way of trying to give back. I’ve been very fortunate so far. My Mayo docs originally gave me 3 months max before my PSA warranted further therapies (radiation and ADT).
It’s been over 2 and 1/2 years and so far my PSA is undetectable and my scans are clean.
I have the book stored on a shared google folder. I’m going to look into security issues and if everything looks good I’ll add a link to the book on the main page of my blog.
